This month we are recognizing Anne Ohman, Executive Director of the Chippewa County Community Foundation! Anne joined the Ambassadors just a couple of months ago, and has been a fantastic addition to our team!

Here's a little more about Anne:
Hello, my name is Anne Ohman, and I was named Executive Director of the Chippewa County Community Foundation in February 2025. I joined the Chamber Ambassadors in February 2026, and I have really enjoyed getting to know all the other Ambassadors. I have a background in both working and volunteering in the nonprofit sector, along with a deep passion for community impact and service. I’m excited about the opportunities this role provides to strengthen philanthropy, build meaningful partnerships, and support initiatives that enhance the quality of life throughout our community.
I have lived in Sault Ste. Marie since 2005 with my husband, Mitch, and our two children, Elizabeth and Will. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, playing board games, and spending time with my family.

Leadership Program
The Sault Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program is designed to bring a group of diverse individuals together to undergo a series of educational sessions where they will become knowledgeable on topics that impact and define our community. These individuals are recognized as potential leaders in the community and will be equipped with information, resources and relationships to help shape the future of the Sault Ste. Marie area. Applicants will be selected on the basis of community involvement, career background, work experience, motivation, attitude and leadership potential.
