Ambassador of the Month

kim shadnaw
This month we are recognizing Kim Shadnaw from Kim's Travel Korner. Kim has been an Ambassador for over 10 years and we are truly honored to have her! Learn more about Kim here:
I am truly honored to be chosen as Ambassador of the Month. I have been an Ambassador since 2015 and enjoy representing the Sault where I reside with my husband, 2 daughters, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. I worked for Passageways Travel since 1988. When the Sault branch closed in 2009, I became an Independent Travel Consultant with the company from my home which I still do. I missed the social aspect of the day to day so in 2012 I was hired by Sault Area Public Schools as an Administrative Assistant where I am still employed. With my Italian heritage,
I was involved at the Christopher Columbus Hall as a young teenager where I am now a Lifetime Member, Secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary and Bar Manager. We need to keep these historical buildings and traditions alive in Sault Ste. Marie.

We are a small, rustic store that offers a variety of gifts and artisan goods. We take pride in offering an assortment of Michigan themed items as well as home décor and other gifts.
We also host art classes in the back of the store! We bring in artists to teach acrylic painting or other art forms and the owner teaches chalk painting transfer classes. We can host anywhere from 3 to 24 people for a class, and you are welcome to turn it into a “paint and sip” event if you choose to!
