This month we are recognizing one of our newest members of the Ambassador Club, Travis Johnson! Travis has been a Chamber Ambassador for one year and so far it's been such a pleasure getting to know him!

“I am excited to be chosen for the Ambassador of the Month. I have been an Ambassador for a year and have enjoyed going to Business After 5 events and ribbon cuttings. I have lived in the Upper Peninsula all my life, growing up in Rudyard and settling in the Sault after 4 years in Marquette for college. I am married and we have one son and one daughter and a dog that is just as spoiled as my kids. Since college I have worked at Walmart, which I took as a temporary job until I could get into my career field, but as I continued to get promoted and delve into the various opportunities Walmart offered, it has become a career. I have really enjoyed volunteering in the community through Walmart and personally and jumped at the opportunity to become an ambassador with the Chamber.”

Leadership Program
The Sault Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program is designed to bring a group of diverse individuals together to undergo a series of educational sessions where they will become knowledgeable on topics that impact and define our community. These individuals are recognized as potential leaders in the community and will be equipped with information, resources and relationships to help shape the future of the Sault Ste. Marie area. Applicants will be selected on the basis of community involvement, career background, work experience, motivation, attitude and leadership potential.
